Growing up as a young African American child. I was neer taught to see color when it came to interacting with people. I was always taught to fork out approve for those who show you respect and to always respect your elders no way out what. Even though I spent a ample span of my life on the west side of Fresno, CA. Where in the main minority groups live. I got a chance to experience and insure the stopping point that other races had to offer through an extensive total of moves throughout the U.S. But never would I have musical theme embracing other races would cause me to receive backlash from my knowledge race. I remember universe in 8th category at Leroy F. Green middle school and hearing kids fashioning jokes to their friends close to me being white washed. At first I didnt really understand why they were calling me that. Until I started realizing that I was different from a lot of the African American kids that I went to school with. I was never the one to clean posit to hanging out with other African American kids. I never believed in sagging my pants, acting up in class, or speaking like I didnt have any sense. In no way is this a reflection of all of the African American race. But being another African American. These are some of the things that I sight other African American kids did at my school.



I got to a point to where I felt like I didnt fit in with the other African Americans at the school. quite an than a select few that I had been friends with for a while. This was the moment that I became confused about where I racially fit in.

All through my life I used to here people rant and rave about how us African American people must stick to stopher. People would speak of how we must be strong for each other and not let the white man direct us down. But the thought of that has always conflicted with me. Since I have always been one to embrace every race and the culture that they bring to the table. I find these teachings to be contradictions.
