Class Suspension
As nigh students in the University of the Philippines, I was one of those who rejoiced the moment the chancellor has denote the suspension of all classes in the campus. It was Tues twenty-four hourslight, August 7, 2012, the first day of suspension, also my first day with a class for the week. Having been head-in-the-clouds about the exam for the next day, relief took over me when I heard the announcement. I had more time to rest and study. I wasnt worried; it was only rain after all, I was even happy for I had another day with no classes. It rained the whole day. Oblivious of what was happening outside the four corners of my room, I slept through most of the day. I woke up in the center(a) in the afternoon in darkness. The rain hasnt stop at all. Worry rose up in me only if not worried enough to wish for another day of class suspension. The next day came and my wish, granted.
I started getting curious of what was happening outside because my sisters who had also work suspensions, kept honorable attention to the news. They were genuinely worried which made me think that the knockout rain was starting to make serious damages in various parts in Metro Manila. Quezon City became swamp and at some parts, the flood reached to above an average person.
and then I remembered Undoy, the in truth tragic typhoon 3 years ago. It has killed hundreds of lives, very sad, indeed. I started to think of the families who have lost their homes because of the flood from the monsoon. Where would they detain? Would they survive the cold?
