What is the purpose of the Police?
When we were discussing this national in class, I was confused to say the least. I thought the police were in that location to cling to us. I had to look up the definition on the internet. The definition on the internet was, To en certain preservation of serenity and public safety through the holdment of local, state, and Federal laws, and by providing shop and assistance during emergency or crisis positions. When I look at the definition I translate that into making sure we ar safe as mass and to protect us. Do they adopt the definition at all times is the question? I guess they preserve peace and do their best to enforce the laws, but I feel in ein truth situation the police come after the accident has already happened. I am not suggesting that a police officer be assigned to every neighborhood. Then we will all kvetch because of invasion of privacy. We the people seem to complain about a lot of things. We need to understand, the world is not perfect and we locoweed make a departure if we do the little things.
The subject in class came up about having a out of sight weapons permit. I think it would be a good estimation for most, but on the other hand make sure whoever has a permit must pass a scene test.
I feel if we are giving away these permits for people to carry guns, more and more incidentally accidents will happen. On the other hand it could be very useful for single moms and those who dont have husbands or someone to protect them. I feel we live in a very safe state and the crime rate is not adept other states. I used to live in hullo; there was not a day that went by that I didnt hear ambulance sirens. It became a common thing to hear. I cant imagine the states whose crime level is mettlesome and the pressure the police have to maintain peace. In culmination I think the bottom line is the police do their job, but we the people can make a difference if we do our part.
