INTRODUCTION

The main focus of effluent treatment base is to reduce the name in the effluent carry through to indispensable waters. Wastewater treatment plants be design to function as bacteria farms, where bacteria are feed oxygen and perfect waste. The excess bacteria growth in the system is pull back as sludge, and this solid waste is then dispose of on land.

A study of wastewater timbre was carried out at Lake opposite the G3 building of UTHM. The wastewater sample was taken at two locations which are outlet and inlet to envision the aim of wastewater quality for this lake. Thats why we need to handle test of Biological oxygen Demand (BOD), Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Total Suspended Solid (TSS) and also YSI to determine the parameters related. This is because the wastewater from UTHM treatment plant leave be discharge into the lake. Its is important to make sure the wastewater quality safe from any dangerous chemical and will non affected the lake and environment surrounding

PROBLEM STATEMENT


UTHM area has been categorize as a Municipal Wastewater Treatment Systems which the pretreatment pretend to remove materials that can cause operational problems, equalization optional.



For indigenous treatment it needs to remove 60% of solids and 35% of BOD and it will follow by secondary treatment that will remove 85% of BOD and solids.
In Malaysia, there are still lots of factory contribute to environmental problems such as pollutant to atmosphere and also river. This is because they did not take flagitious the consequences of effect to surrounding area. Discharge of wastewater which not case-hardened in proper way will lead to pollutant and dotty to aquatic life in river. One of the common problems of wastewater not treated in proper way happened in rural area where this area did not have opinionated treatment plant system.
