In 1943, the military released the first snatch up of curtly soldiers. The shoot down was taken by George Strock, who photographed three dead G.I.s lying dead stranded on Buna Beach, in the Pacific. The intention of this photo was to shock the viewers of the reality of the war. This bear witness describes the arguments Strocks was trying to portray, as well as start the audiences to appreciate what these soldiers have done for their country.
