You find yourself sitting comfortably on a sofa or a chair with your laptop open. In a matter of seconds you have several tabs open. You ensure your various tele take accounts while updating your Facebook, Twitter and answering a text edition on your phone. We are all guilty of it. I apply to be that person. I apply to check my email from my iPhone in the first place my feet even touched the ground every morning. I put ond to think that I was just get something out of the course before my day started. I started to notice that I was to a greater extent anxious and that I wasnt getting things done manage I used to. I blamed it on getting older and the growing responsibilities of being an adult and a Mother. whence I came across an article titled, Is Google Making Us lumpish? by Nicholas Carr. He was experiencing problems with concentrating and the ability to focus with relation to the use of the Internet. He agrees that the Internet of course has its advantages. We have access to a wealth of information all thanks to Google. You can communicate with loved ones, attend school, shop for groceries, and watch a mental picture without having to leave the comfort of your house. What about the disadvantages? What are we giving up to have access to the Internet?



I lead look for the disadvantages associated with the overuse of the Internet and propose that the Internet needs to be limited at home and in the education establishment especially with the next generation of children.

At De Anza Junior College I often hear students say, Im going to the subroutine library, or Lets meet in the library. I am one of those few deal who still check out books and actually enjoy the musky smell of a book when you read through the pages.
