MASTDainea Harrison 1C2February 6, 2009 Classwork #3b The Russian alteration Before 1917, the Romanov dynasty was in control of Russia. This dynasty had been ruling for generations with absolutism. Russians were provide up with that government and the life that came with it. Czar Nicholas, the last ruler from the dynasty was czar from 1894-1917. In March, the first part of the Russian mutation occurred. Peasants, about ninety percent of the population revolted as they were cladding poverty and inequality under the czar. Dying with that revolution was the intact Romanov family. They were executed and the era of absolutism died. Instead of absolutism, the new government desired was communism. This new ideology was developed off Karl Marxs Marxism. In this type of rule, all things were done equally. It diminished distinguish systems where there are nobles, peasants, etc. Each individual has the equivalent rights and advances in life. With Marxism, everyone gets the same chances with jobs, housing, health, etc. The Russians desperately needed this for their nation. Vladimir Lenin, a communist who respected the ideas of Marx, thought to give it to the Russians. The Russian Revolution was led by communists.

Bolsheviks were communists who wanted social equality and stinting democracy. However there were old absolutists against the Bolsheviks. The leader, Vladimir Lenin and his party were to lead Russians to a revolution. However, the natives were more concerned with World War I. Other problems in Russia was and imperialist war with capitalists. Lenin knew that would not aid in creating a communist revolution. The World War was still ongoing at the time because of Czar Nicholas. The Russians were suffering badly and overthrew Czar Nicholas. Lenin took benefit of the situation to begin his rule.
